This Privacy Policy explains how CollectORbuild, LLC (“CollectORbuild,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CollectORbuild website and marketplace. By using CollectORbuild, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

You give us some information directly, and we collect some automatically:

• Account and profile: your name or username, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and any profile details or store information you add.
• Transactions: orders, listings, bids, feedback, claims, messages, and the shipping addresses you enter for delivery.
• Payments: processed by Stripe. CollectORbuild does not collect or store your full card number; we receive limited details such as a payment confirmation and the last digits of the card from Stripe to operate orders.
• Automatic: device, browser, and usage data, including IP address, pages viewed, and interactions, collected through cookies and similar technologies to run and improve the service and keep it secure.

2. How we use information

We use information to: operate your account and the marketplace; process orders, payments, tax, and payouts; provide search, recommendations, and buyer protection; send transactional and, where permitted, optional notification emails; prevent fraud and abuse and enforce our Terms; comply with legal obligations; and improve the service.

3. How we share information

• With sellers you buy from: the information a seller needs to fulfill your order, such as your shipping address and order details. Sellers must use it only to fulfill your order.
• Service providers: vendors that operate the service on our behalf, including Stripe (payments and tax), our hosting and database providers, and our email provider, under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CollectORbuild, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, security, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the service works.

5. Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, and afterward as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and fraud-prevention obligations. Transaction and tax records are typically retained for the period required by law.

6. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account details, manage your saved addresses, and control optional notification emails in your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@collectorbuild.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

CollectORbuild is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to hold an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

CollectORbuild is operated from the United States and, at launch, transacts within the United States. If you access the service from elsewhere, you understand your information is processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
